Kane celebrates his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in returning to the Premier League has diminished and he is prepared to explore a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is at the moment midway through the four-year deal he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the summer of 2023.
The experienced forward has accumulated an remarkable 103 goals in 106 matches for the German team, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the initial important achievement of his notable career.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has earlier stated that he would be pleased to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he once was, and would certainly think about extending his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an honest conversation.
"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top marksman for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had escaped him until he lifted the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after breaking his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
